1st Toongabbie Scout Group
The 1st Toongabbie Scout Group is one of
the oldest scout groups in NSW, having been started in 1908. New members are invited to join this thriving group.

General Information on Scouting
Scouting groups are open to both males and females and are split into 5 categories:-
- Joeys: 6 - 8 years
- Cubs: 8 - 11 years
- Scouts: 11 - 15 years
- Venturers: 15 - 18 years
- Rovers: 18-26 years
The Scout Promise has three fundamental parts
- Duty to your
religious belief
- Duty to one’s self, and
- Duty to
other people.
Scouting programmes seek to encourage
in young people, attitudes which will stand them in
good stead throughout the rest of their lives, such
as initiative, self-reliance, responsibility, respect
and consideration for others, while taking into
consideration the level of development of the age
group and of individuals.
