The following suggestions are ideas for day trips or part day outings for days when there is good weather.

Visit a local park
- Picnic in the park (for a list of parks see Parks)
- Play ball, swings, slipperydip etc
- Feed the ducks
- Go for a bush walk

- Bradley's Head Road, Mosman.
Beach - remember the hats, suncreen, towels and swimmers
- Balmoral beach at Mosman & Clontarf beaches near the Spit, are good ones for young kids with no surf (Clontarf also has BBQ facilities).
- Take a ball for volleyball, football, catch
- Take a bucket and spade for sand castles
- Collect shells, pebbles
- Check out rockpools
- Learn to body surf or chase/jump waves

Take a ferry ride

- Travel by ferry or jetcat ride from Circular Quay. Parking available in the local area.
- Open 10am - 5.30pm every day except 25 Dec
Manly Waterworks
- Fully supervised giant water slides and a large spectator viewing area.
- Located next to Oceanworld Manly and Manly Cove Beach, 200 metres from Manly Wharf at corner of West Esplanade & Commonwealth Parade, Manly
- Travel by ferry or jetcat ride from Circular Quay. Parking available in the local area.
- Open 10am - 5pm in season only. Weekends and school holidays from September School Holidays until the end of April. Plus 6pm - 9pm Sat eves, Dec to Feb.
Visit the Butterfly Farm Activities Resort
